Livin in the 'hood Part II
The other day I was feeding my son his dinner (Mr T. wasn't home) and happened to look out our window next to the kitchen table and discovered to my great surprise that we were being watched by a crazy homeless lady. At the time I didn't know she was crazy, or homeless, I just thought she was creepy. She mentioned that she wanted to live here in our place and asked if I had any rooms for rent. I wasn't crazy about sharing my room with her and I sure as heck wasn't going to let her share a room with my son so after a short and very awkward conversation later, I managed to get her to harass my neighbor instead. When we first moved to the neighborhood I thought that it wasn't all that bad, but now I am realizing that it's not all that great either.

Livin' in the 'hood
This week I have come to the conclusion that we live in a not-so-nice neighborhood. It started a week ago in the middle of the night when a helicopter circled around our house for a half an hour looking for a suspect on the run. I thought to myself, "huh, how bizarre. Surely this is an isolated incident." But it wasn't.
Two nights ago, several cars on our street were broken into including our neighbor's, except her car was almost stolen (the perpetrator left his screwdriver in the vehicle). Her car is parked about five feet from our car.
Today, there was a fire four houses down from us. Several fire trucks and a handful of ambulances showed up. It would have been a great educational opportunity for the baby, had it not been his nap time.
